Early-stage vertical SaaS
New business acquisition6-month engagement

Taking sales off a founder’s plate at a 20-person Series A.

The challenge

A vertical SaaS founder was still running every sales conversation eight months after Series A. Pipeline was inconsistent, deals were stalling in mid-stage, and hiring a VP Sales at that stage felt too early — and too expensive.

Our approach

We embedded as their acting sales lead. Took over the pipeline, ran discovery and demos, closed deals, and built out the playbook the founder had been carrying in his head. In month four we started interviewing candidates for the founding AE role and rolled off cleanly at month six with the new hire ramped.

The outcome

$340K
ARR closed in the six-month engagement
3.2x
Pipeline coverage vs. prior baseline
1
AE hired and onboarded before rolling off
Growth-stage horizontal SaaS
Account management12-month engagement

Turning around a strategic-accounts book at a Series B SaaS.

The challenge

A Series B horizontal SaaS had twelve strategic accounts representing 40% of ARR and no dedicated coverage. Renewals were being negotiated by whoever picked up the phone, expansion was ad-hoc, and one large logo had already threatened to churn.

Our approach

We took ownership of the strategic-accounts book. Built account plans, established quarterly business reviews, mapped expansion opportunities inside every logo, and rebuilt executive-level relationships that had gone dormant. The at-risk account renewed at 2x their prior spend.

The outcome

134%
NRR on the strategic book (up from 108%)
100%
Retention across all twelve accounts
$1.8M
Expansion revenue closed in the book
PLG SaaS moving upmarket
New business acquisition9-month engagement

Adding a sales-assist motion to a PLG SaaS breaking into enterprise.

The challenge

A product-led SaaS was seeing enterprise buyers show up through self-serve but bounce during procurement. They had no sales team, no motion for handling large deals, and no clear way to filter enterprise intent signals from noise.

Our approach

We designed and ran the sales-assist motion. Identified high-intent enterprise signals in their product data, reached out to buying committees inside those accounts, and ran the discovery and pricing conversations that self-serve couldn’t handle. Closed the first six-figure deals and documented the motion for their eventual full-time hire.

The outcome

6
Six-figure enterprise deals closed
$520K
New ARR from previously self-serve accounts
1
Repeatable enterprise motion documented
Bootstrapped SaaS at $2M ARR
Fractional sales leadershipOngoing

Building the first sales team at a bootstrapped SaaS heading toward its first round.

The challenge

A bootstrapped SaaS at $2M ARR was founder-sold, growing steadily, and starting to think about raising its first institutional round. They needed to build a real sales function — but couldn’t afford a full VP Sales and didn’t want to risk hiring the wrong one.

Our approach

We stepped in as fractional sales lead. Built pipeline discipline, hired and onboarded two AEs, designed the comp plan, and built the board-ready revenue reporting they’d need for a raise. Ongoing engagement into year two, with a permanent VP transition planned once the round closes.

The outcome

2
AEs hired, ramped, and hitting quota
68%
YoY ARR growth during the engagement
1
Company on track to raise its first round
